Privacy policy
Last updated October 18, 2026
This policy explains what information CarFlipScore ("we") collects through this website and the CarFlipScore app, and how it's used. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
- Waitlist and contact forms: your email address, the role you pick, and anything you type in a message.
- Listings you score: the vehicle details, VIN, mileage, price, ZIP code and notes you enter, sent to our server to produce the score.
- Basic technical data: your IP address, used briefly to limit abuse (for example, too many scores in an hour).
Your flip tracker is stored on your phone. We don't see it.
How we use it
- To email you when the app launches and answer your messages.
- To score the listings you enter. Scores are kept on our server for up to 24 hours so the same listing returns the same answer, then discarded.
- We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Services we use
- Netlify hosts this website and stores contact-form messages.
- Kit stores waitlist email addresses and sends our emails.
- Anthropic (Claude) processes listing details to produce scores and repair estimates.
- MarketCheck receives the VIN, mileage and ZIP code to look up market prices and comparable listings.
- NHTSA (a U.S. government vehicle database) receives the VIN to decode the vehicle.
- Apple handles app subscriptions and payments. We never see your card details.
Your choices
You can ask us to delete your email or any message you sent by using the contact form. Every email we send has a way to unsubscribe.
Children
CarFlipScore is for adults buying and selling vehicles and isn't directed at children under 13.

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
